AbstractIn this study, high-tech agricultural technology was selected as a future promising career (cluster) from previous literature. STEAM program on high-tech agricultural technology was developed from experts and practitioners on advanced agricultural technology, experts on convergence education (STEAM) and general education, and teachers. In addition, authentical career education training was planned by extracting personality elements for high-tech agricultural technicians. The program was applied during one to three months and modified from the feedback of 940 students (3rd to 12th grade). The program has limitations such as the lack of understanding of teachers and financial support. However, it gives insights on students' understanding of the relationship between the change of society and the creation and destruction of jobs. Futhermore, it is expected to foster students' interest and motivation for careers on the science and technology fields by knowing new issues on science and technology and experiencing the work of future promising jobs. |
