In 2019, with the purpose of contributing to the development and dissemination of domestic and international research on convergence education, the International Society for the Advancement of STEAM (ISAS) was established. Since 2020, ISAS has organized the annual Conference, ICAS, around the end of October.

ICAS serves as a platform for continuous communication among scholars, researchers, and educators in the field of convergence education, facilitating academic research and collaboration both domestically and internationally. In 2023, ICAS was held for the 6th time with the theme "Innovative Design-Based Education Practices: the Power of Making.
